Recruit via Email

In order to recruit via email, you'll need to follow the steps below.

Step 1. Connect a Gmail account

Head over to the integration settings and connect your gmail account.

Step 2. Upload a Segment of users (with emails)

Next, import a segment of users with emails. Refer to Reference: Import User Segments if needed.

At a minimum, the email attribute is required. We also encourage including the greetingName attribute, which you can use to personalize the emails.

Here's an example:

Step 3. Create a new discovery

Create a new discovery and assign the correct user segment. Configure the discovery as you normally would (refer to Guide to: Create First Discovery if needed).

Email-specific configuration:

  • Each discovery has a single email sender, which is used to send individual (plaintext) emails. This can be any member of your Orbital workspace, which has connected their gmail account.
  • Next, modify the email template to personalize and drive conversions.

Step 4. Activate discovery

Once a discovery is activated, Orbital will begin the outreach sequence.

Outreach occurs dynamically, based on the number of interview slots available and the conversion rate of the email outreach, with the aim to send as few emails as possible to reach the target interview quota.

Eligible recipients are those who are:

  • Not in a cooldown
  • Not on blocklist
  • Have an email, and all attributes needed for the template
