Build a Discovery Community

Find customers who want to improve your product by building a Discovery Community.

A Discovery Community in Orbital is a research pool of people who want to help improve your product. Your customers can signup to the community either in-app or via a shareable link, and once they join you can use the information they provide during signup to target a subset and then reach out to them as part of a discovery.

This feature is completely optional, and provides an alternate means to populate your users within Orbital.

Step 1. Configure

Head over to your discovery community and click edit.

Step 2. Select Channel(s)

Decide whether you want to recruit in-app, via shareable link, or both.

Step 3. Customize your Prompts

Use the default prompt copy, or make it your own by explaining what they can expect from joining the community.

Step 4. Create Survey (optional)

Oftentimes, we need more information about our customers to help identify which we want to speak with. Adding a survey to the discovery community signup form allows you to collect that information per user, so that you can use it in the future for segmentation.
