What's one overlooked byproduct of product discovery?

I remember when I would speak to the users of one of the products that I worked on. When I would come to my team and tell them something that those users were experiencing, or something that they really liked, it really worked.

It motivates people to either fix it right away or feel proud and feel a sense of purpose for what we are doing.

So it's such a million-fold device to just talk to customers because it's not only about improving your product, but it's also improving your work environment, as well and motivating your team and improving their work environment.
